Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Long Beach Sabah, we strive to provide a seamless experience for all our customers. Our refund and cancellation policies are designed to ensure fairness and clarity. Please read the following terms carefully before making a booking.
1. Deposit Collection
1.1 For online booking, a deposit is required to secure your booking slot.
1.2 Online bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been received.
2. Cancellation & Refund Terms
2.1 To receive a full refund, cancellation must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled date; otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited.
2.2 Booking changes are allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled date.
3. Weather-Related Cancellations
3.1 For island hopping trips, cancellations due to bad weather will be determined by Jesselton Point Jetty management or Long Beach. If a trip is canceled due to weather conditions, customers may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
3.2 For sunset watersports activities, cancellations due to bad weather will be determined by the Long Beach ground crew. If weather conditions do not permit the activity, customers may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
3.3 If any individual activity within a paid package cannot be carried out due to bad weather or a technical issue from our side, that specific activity will be fully refunded.
4. Technical & Operational Issues
4.1 If a technical issue on our side prevents an island hopping package from being completed, the affected activity will be refunded accordingly.
4.2 In case of a technical failure affecting a sunset watersports activity, the full amount paid customers may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
5. Age Declaration Policy
5.1 Customers must provide the correct age information when booking.
5.2 If an incorrect age is declared, we reserve the right to charge the correct package price upon arrival.
6. Cancellation Request Validity
6.1 A cancellation request is only valid if acknowledged by our representative.
6.2 Customers must ensure they receive confirmation of cancellation from our team.
7. Independent Agents & Third-Party Bookings
7.1 If a package is purchased through an independent agent or third-party platform, the customer will be subject to the refund and cancellation policies of that agent or platform.
7.2 Long Beach Sabah is not responsible for any disputes, refunds, or cancellations handled by third-party agents.
7.3 Customers are encouraged to review the policies of the independent agent before making a booking.
8. No-Show Policy
8.1 Failure to show up without prior cancellation will result in a forfeited deposit and no refund.
8.2 Customers are encouraged to inform us as soon as possible if they are unable to attend their scheduled booking.
9. Processing Time for Refunds
9.1 Refunds will be processed within [3] business days from the date of approval.
9.2 The time for the refund to reflect in the customer’s account may vary based on the payment method used.
10. Force Majeure Clause
10.1 In the event of government restrictions, natural disasters, or other force majeure events, we reserve the right to reschedule bookings or issue refunds based on the situation.
10.2 Customers will be informed of any changes or cancellations due to force majeure events as soon as possible.
11. Partial Refunds
11.1 If only certain activities within a package are canceled due to weather, technical issues, or other factors on our side, a partial refund will be provided for the affected activities only.
11.2 Customers will be informed of the refund calculation and the amount they are eligible to receive.
